World Judo Federation

This sounds quite impressive – until you start trying to find out exactly what it means.

The governing body of the art of judo is the Kodokan Judo Institute in Japan. There is also an International Judo Federation (IJF), which is difficult enough to pin down but does at least have a reasonably professional–looking website. And then there's the World Judo Federation (WJF), whose website is not much (if any) better than the one you're looking at now.

Wikipedia tells us that the IJF "was founded in July 1951. The IJF was originally composed of judo federations from Europe plus Argentina. Countries from four continents were affiliated over the next ten years. Today the IJF has 200 National Federations on all continents."

As for the WJF ... well Wikipedia hardly mentions it. It does have a Facebook page, but this doesn't seem to mention Vladimir Putin. If you go to the About page, it tells you that the WJF was founded in 2011; but it still doesn't mention Vladimir Putin.

And that's about all the research I can be bothered to do on the WJF!

To be fair to the question setter – I can't think of any other world leaders that I would associate with the art of judo.
